Darren's Christmas Hat

When Larissa and I went to buy some ornaments for the tree, she wanted a Christmas hat. I bought one for her and one for myself. I wondered if I should get Darren one as well. I thought he would just say thank you and throw it somewhere in a corner of his room. But he actually loves it! He wears it all the time; he even sleeps in it!



Bet you didn't know you can even wear it over your headphones!

Two weeks

Two weeks have gone by ... wow.

We drove back to California on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Took us almost 9 hours. Fortunately the kids behaved very well :).

Larissa lost her second baby tooth:



Fortunately the tooth fairy gave her a purse this time and a note :D.

Darren had a field trip on the 3rd and on the 4th the school had (another) fundraiser - a "Peace Run". The kids had to run as many laps as they could to raise money for the school PE program. Darren did 10 laps and Larissa 13.



On December 5th Hans left for the Netherlands to clean out his parents' house and make it ready to be sold. Ria was there as well.

Larissa had both a dentist and a doctor's appointment last week. And a birthday party.

Hans came back yesterday and he had brought Larissa a bunch of necklaces from Oma. Today Larissa is playing dress up:



So ... lots of things going on.

Larissa lost her first baby tooth last evening right before bedtime!



She was not very happy this morning that she only got $5 from the tooth fairy. She had expected a note or a card from her as well ...

Between 5 and 7 PM Hans took Larissa to the Oaks Mall for Trick-Or-Treat. There were a lot of bees this year :)



Darren didn't want to go so we stayed home.

Halloween Parade and Parties

We had a costume parade immediately after morning assembly.







In the afternoon all classes had their Halloween parties. I helped with Larissa's party in her classroom. I also checked in on Darren class, and Darren was bored and unhappy.
